OUR STEP BY STEP PROCESS
Once in contact with someone from our team, you can trust we will be by your side through the entire process.
A CUSTOM PROPOSAL
At your consultation or appointment, you will review and discuss the custom design and proposal our teams have put together for you and your home. At this point, we will ensure you are a good candidate for solar energy and answer any questions you may have. Our solar experts will also inquire about the following:
- The electrical status of your home and site evaluation
- Your roof type
- Energy usage history
- Credit score and annual income
INSTALLATION AGREEMENT
With the details all mapped out, our team will then send you the solar panel installation agreement.
HOME AND SITE EVALUATION
While our team continues to optimize your design and proposal, a site surveyor will come to your property and evaluate it for solar readiness. They will check for roof damage, meter capacity and adaptability, locate and document any potential problems or obstructions, and note any other factors influencing the solar array design and/or installation.
Once the evaluation is sent back to our team, our solar designers can begin creating your final design, which includes the most efficient solar array for your panels and an approved financing path.
PERMITTING AND HOAS
To have solar panels installed, there are required permits, whether through the city, county, or state. These can involve a large amount of legal jargon that can be confusing to navigate, so we decided to handle it. Blue Raven Solar has a team dedicated to getting all necessary permits submitted and approved for each homeowner.
This part of the solar process takes, on average, 4-6 weeks and is the longest.
INSTALLATION
All of our technicians are highly trained regarding solar panels and will ensure they are installed safely and correctly. On the day of your solar panel installation, we will begin by preparing your roof. We will then set up all the necessary wiring, which often goes into the home, so homeowners will need to be present on installation day. Next, we place and reinforce the racking, which is probably the stage where you will hear the most noise. The solar panels will be placed on the racking once we are certain it is secure. The last step is to connect the inverters to your panels. Our teams work very efficiently, and the majority of our installs are completed in 1-2 days.
The installation process time can vary from state to state or location to location, depending on building codes, permitting, and homeowner associations, but we work hard to make it easy.
Once the installation is complete, the crew will walk you through the installation, pointing out any details you may need to know and answering any questions you may have. Then, they will clean up all of their tools, equipment, and trash and will notify our team so your home can move to the next step in the process.
INSPECTIONS, VERIFICATIONS, AND ENERGIZATION
Two parties will need to come inspect the rooftop solar panel installation: a city inspector and representative from your current utility provider. They will check each part of installation and make sure it is up to code and it was installed properly. Once inspections are passed, you can flip the switch and energize your system!
Once you are connected to the utility grid, sit back and enjoy the savings! Your solar panels will be creating clean energy for your home, and you can monitor their production through the Enphase Enlighten or SunPower apps on your phone.

HOW MUCH WILL YOU SAVE INSTALLING SOLAR PANELS WITH BLUE RAVEN SOLAR?

WHEN CAN I BACK OUT?
Homeowners can back out at any time until the installation agreement is signed. Once this document is completed, homeowners have three days to cancel or must pay a cancellation fee.
